Kids Hope @ McKinley Elementary

One child, one hour is the heart of KIDS HOPE USA. One caring adult mentoring an at-risk child one hour every week. Because when kids feel loved and valued, they are better able to learn, grow, and succeed. Join us in this mission.

First Sunday Food Drive

Every First Sunday our church collects food for the HOPE Ministries Client Choice Food Pantry. Roughly 15,000 people are fed each year through HOPE’s Client Choice Food Pantry. Get involved.

Habitat for Humanity

Each year our Baton Rouge Methodist churches have combine efforts to build a Habitat for Humanity home, or two, and UUMC has been a big part of that success. Volunteer by swinging a hammer or making a meal.

The University Methodist Preschool of Excellence and After School, established in 1948, is a certified, Class-A licensed preschool and day care center, dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education in a nurturing, faith-based environment.

Troop 50 was formed in 1951 with 9 Boy Scouts. Today the tradition continues going strong as a leading presence in our community with a history of service to our church and the local community.
