Surely it is God Who Saves Me - A Musical Event of Hope, Healing, and Inspiration
November 3, 2024, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge is hosting a free concert to benefit St. Luke’s Episcopal Church's Rebuilding Fund on Sunday, November 3 at 3pm at University United Methodist Church.
Built on the theme “Surely it Is God Who Saves Me”, the program will include selections performed by the Children’s and Youth Choirs of University United Methodist, the Youth Dance Ministry of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and Belles et Beaux, the handbell ensemble from Broadmoor Baptist Church.
The combined Adult Choirs of Broadmoor Baptist, Broadmoor United Methodist, St. Luke’s Episcopal, and University United Methodist will perform Dan Forrest’s Te Deum accompanied by a chamber orchestra and conducted by Dr. Alissa Rowe, Director of Choral Studies at LSU. Our very own Geoffrey Stemen will be the featured organist.
A love offering will be accepted to support the St. Luke’s Rebuilding Fund. St. Luke's Episcopal Church suffered a catastrophic fire back in February 2024. The church is actively pursuing a rebuilding project and would very much appreciate any financial support you are able to provide. We hope to see you there!
