Be our guest and experience our church family.

University UMC is a safe, welcoming place for people from all walks of life to explore their faith and engage in fellowship. We believe the good news of Jesus is meant for everyone, and we choose to lead with love and grace. Our only condition for full participation in our community: is just be you. All are invited to worship, learn, love, and serve — we look forward to meeting you. If you have any questions, email our Director of Welcome and Engagement, Lauren Broussard LeBoeuf at lauren@universitymethodist.org.

Meet With Us

If you have questions before you visit or after experiencing our community online, we’d love to welcome you! Please email Lauren LeBoeuf to schedule a visit and see where we gather, tour the nursery or talk with our pastor, ministers or staff.

background

Our worship services are traditional. We sing from hymnals and participate through call-and-response liturgy, led by our clergy and choirs. We welcome all people to worship and invite you to come as you feel comfortable — some people wear suits and ties, others jeans and t-shirts. What matters most is that you show up as your authentic self.

Convenient parking is available in two lots, both which can be accessed from Dalrymple Drive. Visitor parking is available in the front lot near our large digital church sign. For people with disabilities, accessible parking is available in both our side lot and our main front lot. The accessible spaces on the side of our sanctuary are near a push-button door and ramp into our sanctuary, with accessible bathrooms in the Administrative Offices.

Children are always welcome in worship — worship bags and children’s bulletins are available in the Narthex. On Sundays and during regularly scheduled church events, we provide nursery care from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for infants through age five in Room 106 of the Children’s Building. Kids are always invited to join us for the children’s moment in our service. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Children’s Ministry at childrens@universitymethodist.org.

Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month. As a United Methodist Church, we practice open communion, meaning all are welcome at the Lord’s table.

There are so many meaningful ways to connect with University UMC and share God’s love with others. Take a moment to browse your options in the Serve and Engage sections of this site.

Each week we offer Sunday School for all ages. Children are invited to follow the acolyte out of 8:30 a.m. worship for Children’s Choir and Sunday School, and youth are invited to the youth area.

If you don’t have a church home, we invite you to consider making University United Methodist Church your faith community. We recognize the baptism of all Christian churches and welcome members by profession of faith, reaffirming faith, or transferring church membership from other churches. To learn more, please contact the church office to speak to one of our staff members.
